Like the name, the Nkekek- Njiesang people migrated from Nkekak, a village in the neighborhood of Esingem Mboh east Santchou ( San zo )

Their leader Esua Esuke ( N’fonji-Sang) was the son of Ekumu Nkoh Elale, with his three brothers of same womb ( N’ fonsung -Nji, N’foligwe- Sang and N’fomelack-sung) left Nkekak due to family infighting and the desire to be autonomous and the search of Dead palms ( menack) cause to migrate from Nkekak and move west ward navigating via Betto and Nzijang forest to the present land of Njiesang.
